The United Nations Plan to Rule the World
August 30, 2012
The general annual UN budget has gone from $20 million and 1,500 employees in 1945, to $10 billion and 50,000 employees today. Of this, U.S. taxpayers pay an estimated $4 billion a year.
Not satisfied, the UN has for years planned to take a larger role in world government. Four treaties in particular would usurp Americans rights while taking additional billions - if not trillions - of taxpayer's funds.
UNODA -- UN Office for Disarmament Affairs
Originally established in 1982 UNODA promotes the goal of disarmament and non-proliferation and the strengthening of disarmament regimes. It promotes disarmament in the areas of nuclear weapons, as well as conventional weapons, especially landmines and small arms. UNODA provides organizational support for the General Assembly, the Disarmament Commission, the Conference on Disarmament and other bodies; it encourages regional disarmament efforts; and it provides information on UN disarmament efforts.
UNODA would usurp American's second amendment right to bear arms.
UNCLOS -- The UN Convention on the Law of the Sea
Originally established in 1982. It seeks to establish UN control of the sea outside of territorial waters. Territorial waters are defined as follows:
"Every State has the right to establish the breadth of its territorial sea up to a limit not exceeding 12 nautical miles, measured from baselines determined in accordance with this Convention.
The outer limit of the territorial sea is the line every point of which is at a distance from the nearest point of the baseline equal to the breadth of the territorial sea."
Although UNCLOS would control the sea 12 miles out, it would also control the source of anything they consider pollution everywhere.
UNCLOS could control everything from U.S. military vessels to fishing boats 12 miles from shore.
Agenda 21 -- UN Conference on Environment and Development
Agenda 21 was established in 1989. It is a comprehensive plan of action to be taken globally, nationally and locally by Governments and Major Groups in every area in which human impacts on the environment.
Agenda 21, the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, and the Statement of principles for the Sustainable Management of Forests were adopted by more than 178 Governments at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1992.
The Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD) was created in 1992 to monitor and report on implementation of the agreements at the local, national, regional and international levels.
The full implementation of Agenda 21 and the Commitments to the Rio principles, were strongly reaffirmed at the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) held in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2002.
ICLEI -- Local Governments for Sustainability
Since countries would be reluctant to accept the Agenda 21 concept, the UN founded Council for Local Environmental Initiatives in 1990. The ICLEI sells the concept of "Sustainable Development" to municipalities. More than 200 local governments from 43 countries convened at the inaugural conference, the World Congress of Local Governments for a Sustainable Future, at the United Nations in New York.
In 2003, ICLEI's Members voted to revise the organization's mission, charter and name to better reflect the current challenges local governments are facing. The 'International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives' became ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability' with a broader mandate to address sustainability issues.
